Gear Up, Madison! Nation's Largest Historic Trucking Event Rolls in Next Week

The American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) will showcase approximately 1,000 historic and modern trucks and trailers of all shapes and sizes at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The 2025 ATHS National Convention & Truck Show will be held June 5–7 and is open to truck enthusiasts, industry professionals and the public.


“This event is a great time for everyone of all ages,” said Peter Wild, ATHS Convention Committee chair. “You’ll see trucks from all over the country, some dating back to the 1910s. There’s a reason people come for the trucks and stay for the people—it becomes a big family reunion.”

Wheels of Time Magazine Honored with 2025 Communicator Award of Distinction

The American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) is proud to announce that its flagship publication, Wheels of Time magazine, has received a 2025 Communicator Award of Distinction in the Print Content – Association category. 

 “This recognition means a lot to our small editorial team,” said Darin Burt, publications and social media manager at ATHS. “Every issue of Wheels of Time is created to reflect the history of the trucking industry and the people who care about it. Our members aren’t just readers — they’re the reason these stories exist, and the reason they’re worth telling. That connection is what drives everything we do.”

ATHS National Convention & Truck Show Rolls into Madison June 5-7: Pre-register by May 11

The American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) invites truck enthusiasts, industry professionals, and the public to attend the 2025 ATHS National Convention & Truck Show, taking place June 5–7 at the Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison, Wisconsin. “Pick up the latest issue of the Wheels of Time and you can read how excited ATHS is about coming to Madison. There is plenty of trucking history in Wisconsin, and we are ready to make memories with our members and all who love trucks! You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and hopefully you will leave being passionate about trucking history,” said ATHS Convention Manager Courtney Cesar.

This premier event will showcase approximately 1,000 trucks and trailers of all shapes and sizes, alongside a vendor expo, educational sessions led by industry experts, and valuable networking opportunities. ATHS Convention Committee Chair Peter Wild says, “You’ve got to come to Madison and experience our event and you will understand why many ‘Come for the trucks. And join for the people.’ We anticipate a very good showing!”
