Nominees must have entered the trucking industry prior to August 9, 1935, and spent most of his or her working life in the industry.

50 Year Company Award

This is an award for a COMPANY that has been in continuous operations for (50) fifty years or more and maintained the same name, operating:

• At least one truck for hire
• A company manufacturing trucks, truck parts or equipment
• A company whose primary purpose is serving the trucking industry: such as suppliers, insurance, publications, associations, etc.

75 Year Company Award

This is an award for a COMPANY that has been in continuous operations for (75) seventy-five years or more and maintained the same name, operating:

• At least one truck for hire
• A company manufacturing trucks, truck parts or equipment
• A company whose primary purpose is serving the trucking industry: such as suppliers, insurance, publications, associations, etc.

100 Year Company Award

This is an award for a COMPANY that has been in continuous operations for (100) one hundred years or more and maintained the same name, operating:

• At least one truck for hire
• A company manufacturing trucks, truck parts or equipment
• A company whose primary purpose is serving the trucking industry: such as suppliers, insurance, publications, associations, etc.

125 Year Company Award

This is an award for a COMPANY that has been in continuous operations for (125) one hundred twenty five years or more and maintained the same name, operating:

• At least one truck for hire
• A company manufacturing trucks, truck parts or equipment
• A company whose primary purpose is serving the trucking industry: such as suppliers, insurance, publications, associations, etc.

Nominees for this award must have provided commendable service to ATHS on a chapter level, and maintain national membership good standing for a period of not less than (10) ten years.

This may include, but is not limited to:

• Volunteering as a chapter officer
• Volunteering with a chapter to perform any work, selflessly, that helps achieve the goals of the Chapter or Society

Nominees for this award must have provided commendable service to ATHS on a national level, and maintain national membership good standing for a period of not less than (20) twenty years.

This may include, but is not limited to:

• Volunteering with ATHS to perform any work, selflessly, that helps achieve the Society’s goals
• Volunteering as an ATHS national officer or board member

This is an award for a PERSON who has been employed in the trucking industry for (50) fifty years or more of his/her working life in one or more of the following categories:

1. Active in:
   • A company owning or operating at least one commercial vehicle
   • A company manufacturing trucks, truck parts or equipment
   • Companies whose primary purpose is serving the trucking industry: such as suppliers, insurance, publications, associations, etc.
2. Inventor or developer of trucks, truck parts or equipment

Any member of the American Truck Historical Society may be nominated for this award, except the current Chairman, President, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President, 3rd Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer, nor one who has held such an office in the past two (2) years.

The member is nominated in recognition of his/her outstanding achievements in furthering the mission and goals of the American Truck Historical Society, and as one who exemplifies the character and qualities of the late Harris Saunders, Sr.

Nominees for this award must have been diligent in their pursuit of knowledge about trucking history for a period of at least ten (10) years, culminating in one or more of the following:

• Publication in five (5) Wheels of Time or other industry historical magazines of articles on the trucking industry, based on accurate research
• Publication of two (2) books on the trucking industry, based on accurate research
• Capture, collection, and publication of five (5) photographic images of the trucking industry
• Assembly and public display of a significant collection of industry artifacts

The nominated museum will have on display:

• At least six (6) motor trucks
• Motor truck industry memorabilia
• Motor truck historical data (photos, articles, etc.)
• Other motor truck related items

The nominated museum must also published their hours of operation, be listed as a “Transportation Museum”, allow public access to exhibits, and have a curator or representative available for contact.
