Summary: Join us on the EmpowerHER tour, a delightful journey through women-owned establishments in downtown York. Begin your day at Refillism, an eco-lifestyle shop, where you'll learn about sustainable living, shop for plastic-free self-care products, and enjoy a unique refillable jar experience. Move on to Bound Books, an independent bookstore and café, where you can sip on a 16-ounce coffee, peruse a curated collection of books, and indulge in moments of reflection. Step into the enchanting Front Porch Tea Room & Gathering Place in a historic log Victorian home built in 1869. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of elegance and pamper your senses with a traditional five-course High Tea experience. Later in the day, explore Sunrise Soap Company soaps. Depending on group size, you may enjoy an energetic demonstration will show you how these natural oils are used to make specialty soaps. Following the step-by-step instructions from your guide you will create a soap of your own to take with you.

Refillism & Bound Books: Refillism is a refill and eco-lifestyle shop in downtown York. Learn about the eco-conscious brand focused on sustainability and responsible consumption. Shop from a wide variety of hand-crafted, self-care specialty products without the use of plastic packaging. Plus, all guests will receive a refillable jar and will have the opportunity to fill it with a product from the shop.

Bound Books is an independent bookstore in downtown York with a curated collection of new books, houseplants, gifts, and a café. Located across the street from Refillism in York’s Market District, Bound Books has a vast selection of books including a children’s section. Grab a 16-ounce coffee from the café and browse the bookshelves or sit down, relax, and enjoy some time for reflection.

Front Porch Tea Room & Gathering Place: Built in 1869 is a log Victorian home atop a hill with lots of charm and history. Inside this Victorian Tea Room, you will feel pampered as you relax in an atmosphere of elegance. Each table is covered in linens and lace then set properly with antique dishes, linen napkins, crystal goblets, and fine silver. There are over 50 high-quality loose-leaf teas to choose from while enjoying a traditional five course High Tea.

Sunrise Soap Company: Sunrise Soap Company soaps are made in small batches and contain high quality oils, which are extremely beneficial to the skin, providing moisture, and produce a wonderful lather. Following the step-by-step instructions from your guide you will create a soap of your own to take with you.
